My next sewing project….

I have been enjoying browsing through my new Merchant & Mills sewing books that my husband kindly bought me for Christmas and I think I have found my next sewing project…The Heron top from Merchant & Mills Workbook

I just love the look of it and it will go with so many things, its easy to wear and a flattering shape. All I need to do is find the perfect fabric (and the time) which will probably be a linen and I am thinking in a soft shade of blue, maybe.

The book is fantastic in that it has six adaptable full size patterns for an all season wardrobe, from trousers to shorts, from vest tops to dresses to skirts and I can’t wait to get stuck in sometime soon and as a bonus it is a beautiful looking book with stunning photography which for me is so inspiring.

This January is a busy month for me as I am working on new stock for my Etsy shopΒ ready for February so to clear some room I am offering 35% off everything in my shop with the coupon code JANUARYSALE and as well as trying to sew 5 days of the week I am also trying to get a little fitter and loose a little weight so fitting exercise in everyday of the week as well as getting back to eating healthy again is making me a bit grumpy !! I wrote down my New Years Resolutions on the January 1st,as I do every year, and my goodness I have so many of them, which looking on the bright side, should mean that I will complete at least one of them ! Do you set yourself any New Year Resolutions or do you think they are a waste of time?

Anyway I have a bathroom to clean, note books to make and my second cycle of the day all before the children get home and start with their demands.By the way I have hated my two going back to school and sixth form the house has seemed so empty and strange without them and yesterday I couldn’t wait for them to get home and for the house to feel normal again.Am I the only one who feels like this ?

Thank you for dropping by and I love to hear from you,Tabitha x

  1. You sound busy but perhaps that’s just as well with you missing the kids. I have mixed feelings when the children go back to work/school. I really miss them and look forward to them coming home but part of me also enjoys the quiet. I think mixture like Jennifer over at thistlebear does would be great πŸ™‚ x

  3. I love craft books, so even though I’m not into sewing clothes, I can still relate. Am still dying to sew something from the book I won in Nathalie’s give away πŸ™‚
