For those of you that follow me on Instagram you will know that my feed over the last week has been all about Twirly Skirts and making up vintage children’s clothing patterns.
Needless to say it has all been a bit frustrating at times as I am slowly getting used to making clothes for little ones where I am more used to making clothes for myself and my teenage daughter.
So here is a sneak peak of my completed girls Twirly Skirt made out of 15 panels of fabric for ultimate twirly action, in various shades of blue with a bias binding hem which has a machine embroidered pattern on it for extra cuteness/style factor and a comfortable elasticated waist.
I am planing on making several more in all different fabrics with no two skirts being alike. Some will have pockets, some will have pom-pom edging and others may only be made up from two different fabrics and others from more. The one thing they will all have in common will be good quality, fun and comfortable.
I am also in the process of making up vintage children’s patterns for the age groups 2-4 years. The patterns may be vintage but the fabrics are not and I add a little twist to bring them up to date. But that is another story for another time.
Thank you for stopping by,Tabitha 🙂
