We woke to snow this morning and everything was still and peaceful. My daughter was keeping her fingers crossed in hope of a snow day and I could have done with snuggling back down under the duvet, but sadly that wasn’t to be as the school was open.

My son doesn’t have film school on a Tuesday so the two of us wrapped up warm and went for a long walk along the river and the beach in the snow. It was more than a little cold but it was so magical and beautiful that we didn’t care. By the time I got home I couldn’t feel my toes !

I have been enjoying cooking and baking a lot more comfort foods lately and last week for dinner I made the most tasty prawn and spinach risotto which for me is the ultimate comfort food. What is your go to meal when you need something warm and comforting to eat ?

My latest sewing makes for my shop have been a knitting bag and a two tone apron that I designed. I have been wanting to make an apron that was made from two different colour fabrics for a few months now and I was pleased how well it turned out. I am liking patch pockets at the moment so these are on this apron and the straps and ties are made from both the fabrics so following through on the two tone look.

For those of you that very kindly signed up to my newsletter, I am at the moment working on my first one and am planning on getting it out next week if all goes well. If you haven’t signed up and would like to you can do it here Subscribe to my newsletter.

Hope you are all keeping warm

Tabitha

The risotto looks delicious. My go to comfort food would be goulash. The schools here are closed today, the sun is shining and the snow looks so pretty.

    1. Goulash I haven’t had it for ages so will have a look through my cook books. No snow here today but on the forecast for tomorrow.
